fender Geek Age: - Gender: - Posts: 210	February 18th, 2006 at 08:47am i dont know if you have all heard about this, but i think that the British governmant is planning to privatise education and health care, abolishing the NHS, and having to pay for education. in my oppinion this is just another point to prove that the UK is the 51st state of the USA. every single day our country is becoming more Americanised, i'm not agaisnt America by any means, but i am fond of Britain the British way and do not want it to become America. Children are using American slang from early ages, and we are getting all the fattening waffle makers (sorry to be so stereo typical there it was just an example, but americans are in gerneral portryaed as waffle eaters!) we have things that say 'American.....' we are becoming America! and i dont like it! please dont take this is as racist because im not, i just think Britain should stay Britain.[/b]

Quote The breakfast was attended by representatives of private companies bidding to run 11 diagnostic and treatment centres (DTCs) due to open in December to provide fast-track hip replacement and cataract surgery for NHS patients. They are expected to perform about 100,000 operations a year. It isn't going to happen any time soon, I can tell you that.

But the government seems to tax us more and yet not fund the system. Personally when i make enough money i'll go private myself.

I don't think many I know could. i'm a poor waitress at moment, i'm talking ten years time , plus if everyone had to go private, the price would drop due to influx.
