In the midst of a war, this is a homeland security crisis and I really hope he rethinks this alot, over and over again.
"I want those who are questioning it to step up and explain why all of a sudden a Middle Eastern company is held to a different standard than a Great British company," Bush said.
I can see why hes doing this, he does want to better someone elses situation, I swear, this war has almost turned into a pride issue. He set out to achive what he wanted, despite alot of negative critism. reguardless of how you feel about the war in the middle East, we're at war with them, giving Middle eastern Countries large ports at this particular time is just stupid. He's getting so caught up in transoforming the country and aiding it, hes losing sight of whats best for his country. I just think this is a bad idea and its only going to get worse, but then again hes the president, Im 13.
Well, you must have heard that Bush said he didn't even KNOW about it!
But I think the whole adminisration is losing it. This isn't about racism. It's not racism for you to not want YOUR ports controled by ANY other country.

i thought it was the other way around.
if congress passes a law, the president can veto it. Then congress has to have a 2/3 majority vote for the Bill to become a law. I didnt know the president could veto things congress didnt aprrove, laws are not part of the executive branch, well making them. They can suggest them, but they cant pass bills. I dont know, I'll have to research it.
