the best solo is in 1039/smoothed out slappy hours, i think the song is the judges daughter,
then again i wouldnt expect you to know that one as you probably just listene to the newer few albums and call yourself punk, am i correct? yes of corse i am, its the same with nearl;y all you green day fans,
ohh mommy look im punk because i like green day,
WRONG!!! green day a re not punk they are pop, they used to be punk but the were rejects from the punk scene when they became pop,
GREEN DAY ARE NOT PUNK< THEY ARE GOD DAMN POP!!!!
I guess you think you're a badass now. you're not. |

Age: - Gender: - Posts: 63 | April 4th, 2006 at 10:44am Does this mean best solo he acually plays, or all of the solos he wrote in general? I'm assuming it's everythign he wrote, looking at the choices for the poll and stuff
I chose JOS, I like it a lot. Letterbomb's solo is my fav too
I don't know anythign about guitars and guitarists, so I can't comment on the Jason White VS BJ thingy |

Age: 33 Gender: Male Posts: 14139 | April 6th, 2006 at 10:46pm BJ blows Jason White out of the water, plus BJ plays on the recordings which sound much better than Jason White live. I'd rather listen to BJ's awesome solo in JOS instead of Jason's crummy, hacked-up version. Same with Dry Ice, American Idiot, and Castaway. The only exception live is when BJ plays the extended version of Minority. |

Just because he plays them live doesn't mean that IT IS HIS SOLO.
Billie Joe wrote it. -_- so it's HIS solo. you fool. |

yeah, that was good.
there's a version on 'Knowledge' going around (recorded in Germany?) and Billie does a solo and then says 'you like that stuff? check this out' and launches into another one.
'tis good. |

his older solos from 1039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours and Kerplunk! are.
I agree.
I love the Why Do You Want Him solo, personally.
I don't really count the American Idiot solos as solos, they just don't sould right.
Amazingly cool, but not like a guitar solo. |

Age: - Gender: - Posts: 452 | i feel like dookie:jason is a brill guitarist. what the hell is that about him missing notes out live? he also playes octaved solos, giving them a better sound. none of the solos in any green day song after kerplunk are particularly amazing though. but the solo billie joe plays behind his head when they play knowledge live is fooking amazing...
I just have to say.
that is a /very/ easy solo, so don't get too impressed.
But it's a really cool song. |
