BOOK: Junk by Melvin Burgess

it's about this boy named Tar [actual name: David] who runs away from home to escape from his abusive father, with his girlfriend Gemma, and they end up living with these two junkies [Lily & Rob] and they get addicted to heroin. Lily and Gemma become prostitutes so that they can afford the drugs. They get busted for dealing, and Tar has to go to rehab, but when he gets out he starts using again. I won't tell how it ends.
It's SO FUCKING GOOD.

I read it when I was 13 and again last summer. I thought it was really interesting, especially the change in Tar because of heroin and how they're defiant they're not addicts, like a lot of people must be.

Junk is my favourite book ever! It's so bloody interesting and ... different. It's almost like reading the characters' minds. Yeah, it's that fucking good.

I read that book a few years ago, it was depressing and the ending sucked but it was interesting.

I love this book, i stole it from the libary I loved it that much.

it was one of the best books i've ever read.
