Illumination of murder stained glass,
Shards of witness and putrid memory;
the doll that lay,
Entwined in her tarnished, muddy clothes,
Reflects upon the past six minutes,
and sees no future upon her recollection.
Hope is shone through the windows of eternity,
Reflecting all and well upon the picturesque scene;
The icicles dance and twirl in unison,
Bloody, echoing screams.
They melted away for each and them all
Now perished among the giant ball of gas.
No whispers of priceless inquiries are uttered
And the shadows where the lion lurk
Are still under endeavoring examination.
Honesty is broken,
Exchanged for bloody palms;
Chains of sincere promises puff out the chimneystack.
Hollow deceit inhabits his condemned chest
Of innocent sweet-nothings and forms an aura of
Wickness and evil by the wave of a single hand.
The animal will never be tamed
Of his old, passionate ways;
But the restless men and women will not desist
Until the missing beast, flown free of the vicinity,
Is at last discovered and effortlessly caged in the county zoo. |
