Canadians In Iraq

Personally, its 100% wrong. Americans started this war, so they have to fight it. We are peace troppers, but yet we are being killed too. I absolutly hate it that Canadians are dieing because of Americans. What do you think? Also, some info on how this all started would be nice.

I'm with Syd. What about Americans, what about the British? What about the effing Iraqi's?!?

It is sad that Canadians are dying, but going out there in the first place is a big, big risk. I'm sorry for the Canadians, but not just them. I'm sorry for all the dead in Iraq, be they Canadian, Iraqi, American, British, Australian, whoever.

the british army are also in there fighting and sadly dying.
But we can't really do any thing about it.

ok if you took the Canadians out of iraq then you have to take the british and the royal welsh out aswell.

I'm saying that just because Americans started the war that many other countries have to fight too. I don't see why everyone else can't just leave and let America finish what they started.

Nobody is forcing them to fight. Don't blame America.

It's not as if this whole thing is not a global affair. It is. The whole world is affected by it. That is why so many fight.

Movies are not fact.

Of course they go to fight and to kill. That is in their job description. It's not as if they were lead to join the army under false pretences. It's not as if they don't fully know what they were going out there to do.

Lets get one thing straight first off, American and Britian announced war on Iraq, i'm sure everyone saw the broadcast.

secondly, an army's purpose is to protect and fight, it's the basic job prescription.

thirdly, your basing your argument on movies. I think chocolate is bad for people but i don't go round spouting charlie and the chocolate factory as evidence.

fourthly, Peopl of every nation are dying out there, instead of playing the blame game, grieve for your loss. anger only leads to destruction of yourself or worse.

no i dare say they didnt choose to go Iraq, but they did choose the army, you have to go where your sent its not like a holiday camp, the army is there to protect the country and to protect others, they know the dangers before they sign up.

Thats like saying "Its on tv, it must be right!"

Dont use fictional movies as backup. There is a reason they are fictional

Most people that make a movie have this urge to change the story in some way. Even if was based on a true story, chances are, its been changed.

Therefore, don't rely on movies. Don't use them as backup. You will end up looking like an idiot.
