Suicide Bombers

Is it right? Giving up your life for a God(s), and taking others to be accepted. Killing yourself in public places, implanting images into peoples minds for life. Personally. Wrong. I have no beliefs in God(s) but if I did I would never kill my self for a person I have never met, and on top of that take lives of others. These days when you hear about death on the news from war and whatnot, you will most likely hear "suicude" in it. Are they still dieing for God(s)? Or is it really just what they are doing now? My question, is dieing for a God(s) and taking others with you right?. (Without permission from the 'other').

Yea, I totally agree with you. I also don't understand how people get these ideas that they're supposed to commit suicide and kill others too. It's just plain stupid to me...

Yeah I agree, its damn scary to, you never know where they will be, I was nearly caught in the London bombings, but thank god I was Ill, otherwise, I might not be here today.

I don't mind if people kill themselves for their God.

But when they kill other people too, that's just plain fucking stupid.

I'm not sure what we're suppose to be debating, of course killing people for god is wrong, killing people for anything is wrong.

If it is right or wrong, but everyone seems to think it's wrong, we can't argue yet.

i think a lot of people think suicide bombers are psychopaths. but theyre not. theyve misread the teachings, just as christians misread the bible and think homosexuality is wrong. i think they show extreme devotion to their religion. im not trying to sympathise, but they end their own life for their religion. and that takes a lot.

Suicide bombers creep me out, and I don't like what they do...but in a way, you've got to respect some of what they do. They are willing to die painfully for the sake of God. That takes guts, friend.

Of course, then they generally kill people who AREN'T willing to die painfully for God. Sooo that kind of cancels out.

That to me is wrong. Whatever God you worship, I bet he doesn't condone murder, so by giving yourself to God you are indirectly going against him. It puzzles me a little.

If someone believes that killing themselves for a God is the right thing, then I have no problem with that.
But killing innocent people is wrong, and I'm sure that from a religious point of view killing other people at the same time must cancel out the religious sentiment. So I think that some suicide bombers use the excuse of religion for their actions when they are not actually doing this for any religious reason what so ever.

Does anyone think that what they do are right?
