My mom quit smoking and started again after my grandma died (her mother in law) I couldn't believe it, all the promises she made to me went down the drain and I was heart broken. Not only is my dad and mom killing themselves when they smoke, but they're also killing me, I can't stand to be around the fumes, they stink and they are harmful. No I'm not paranoid of lung cancer. Because it's a family trait and I'm in line to develop it. I don't think your dad should of just started drinking again, to get rid of the problems when your step mom left, he should have found an alternative. Alcohol is dangerous in more ways then one..

Alcohol is not so bad if ur able to limited ur self like in stead of a dozen get a soix pack but sometimes people can't do it, but my dad was violtent 12 years ago
