I.Heart.Panic. King For A Couple Of Days ![]() Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 2019 | Hi. I once read a book named Noughts & Crosses. It is about a boy called Callum and a girl called Sephy. The story is about racial discrimination really. Callum is a 'Nought', he is the less valued race, and he is white. Sephy is black, a 'Cross', and her father is a very important man. As kids, Sephy and Callum play together, as Callum's mother works as a cleaner, I think, at Sephy's house, and because they are children they are allowed to play. But as they get older this stops, and they have to meet in secret. There is a little part at the beginning about them as kids, and then it skips to them as teenagers, where Callum asks Sephy to show him how to kiss. The story moves on. As the two drift apart slightly, Callum discovers his brother Jude is part of a terrorist gang, and eventually joins. They plan to blow up the shopping mall where Sephy is. Callum saves her life. It goes forward a bit, and then the terrorist gang decide to kidnap Sephy and hold her hostage. Of course, Callum, being close to her, is told to do this. He does, and when he holds her captive, the pair have sex. Sephy becomes pregnant. The ending is horrific. I almost cried, seriously. I would reccomend this book to anyone, but to be prepared. It's a trilogy, but....there are four books o_O I'd reccomend any of Malorie Blackman's books! She's a great author. I'll probably regret making htis thread as few of you will find it interesting but oh well. ![]() |
