My parents hate Astoria and Brixton venues, which sucks because I that's where ALL the best gigs are. That's why I totally spazzed when I found out it wouldn't be there, and I could go. It would be so much easier if we could just go alone to these things. For me- no one to keep an eye on, no one to get pissed at (because none of my friends are into rock but they go just because and pretend to know what's happening), no one to hold me back inside, no one to make it difficult.
