| Plug In Baby. Addict  Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 11334 | Ok, I'm fairly sure that there is no thread about them, I checked. But I think I made a thread about them before! It must have gotten deleted. Grinspoon are a band from the north coast of NSW. They got together when Phil Jamieson and Kristian Hopes met up with Pat Davern and Joe Hansen at a jam night held in 1995. Triple J (or JJJ as we call it) is the national radio station for younger people, and they held a competition called "unearthed" which was a competition to help get regional bands air time and the possibility of a record deal. The guys entered a song called "Sickfest", and they became the co-winners of the competition. They recently played at the closing ceremony of the commonwealth games. Phil is blonde now and it scares me  He said that, right now, he absolutely hates the new album, but that's from over playing it...he also said that it's extremely different from other stuff they've done because now they realised they've gotta stop trying to be other bands and be themselves (I always thought they were themselves! ), anywho now they are "having fun" with their rock n' roll! |
