| FCPSITSGEPGEPGEPanda King For A Couple Of Days  Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 2921  | After the last poem, I'm practically thrilled with this one.  A Post-Hardcore Musing (Dichotomy) Pounding out aggression, scream into the microphone. With all that raw energy, punctuate the silence. See the other side, as you softly sing those lyrics That make you yearn for just a bit of such love. It’s a dichotomy of madness and passion, Asperity and tenderness, fury and delight. A paroxysm of recovery. It’s healing in short bursts. The thud of the drum seems to equal your heartbeat; It equals your heartbeat and rings in your chest. The crash of the cymbals seems to cut through the air; It cuts through the air and generates a storm. Push and shove. Pull back; pull back. Trip, stumble, stagger, and fall. Can you taste the blood in your mouth? Can you feel the heat wrap around you? The bass line emerges as the current; it’ll draw you in. It pulls you into the undertow, dragging you below. Till it gently lets you depart, releasing your hand To let you float away with the slow drift of notes. It’s a dichotomy of madness and passion, Asperity and tenderness, fury and delight. A paroxysm of recovery. It’s healing in short bursts. The guitars swirl around each other, conflicting Torrents of wind, barbed wire squalls of sound. The two cyclones dance in an eternal embrace, But the vibrato movements are becoming more violent. Push and shove. Pull back; pull back. Trip, stumble, stagger, and fall. Can you taste the blood in your mouth? Can you feel the heat wrap around you? It’s a dichotomy of madness and passion, A post-hardcore musing on the meaning of life. |
