Evolved, Maybe- But The Wrong Direction
Repulsive outlooks on a malformed life;
But you can only mock yourself for oh-so long.
Constantly “conforming” to the better society,
but you failed…
well before you even tried.
A sickly attempt to rise off mutated surfaces,
you found yourself buried farther underground.
Forgiveness is not necessary; your flaws cannot be helped.
Who am I to accuse a victim of fallen nature?
I myself bear twisted virtues,
but I do not let it manipulate my emotions;
Physicality does not show,
and though I despise fashion
sanitary must survive.
Throughout the complications,
braving raging trends,
but you cannot block publicity.
When it stares directly at you, you cannot avert your gaze.
The world is not black and white, regardless of what you wish.
Conformity may be cruel, but all you are doing is impaling civility.
Grotesque and atrocious;
Banished as an outcast.
Left to search the quiet corners,
the banisters, staircases, abandoned bookshelves and sidewalks.
Struggling to adhere to some unwritten law.
A law I have yet to understand and grasp,
because the concept cannot be sensual.
Anything you generally claim to bear is supernatural;
In the negative term, to everyone’s dismay.
Yet you still speculate as to how we are disgusted…

| Yep. I play in a percussion ensemble for my school. We had a concert tonight. And I messed up with pride.  But banged the hell out of the drums anyway. |
