He could never tell whether she gasped at his tepid touch or in applause at the rolls of majestic flashlights on the kitchen wall but he would bite down on her skin and wage a competition on the sky. He was always that atmospheric type of lover. And in the aftermath of their tumbling passion, they'd lie entwined, listening to the tentative echoes of rain upon their window. The lulling interlude between the climax and reality. The yawning period. She'd fall asleep with her ear hitched above his heart. Her new palpitating thunder. Reminiscent reverberations of reality. And he'd clutch her even closer, his indecisive adrenaline, watching the horizon for unfurling clues to his sensual weather reports. Red skies were never an indicator of danger within his passionate mind. |
