In the Sea of Sleep A quiet breeze sweeps athwart the pillow and Waves floats across the silk quilt cover as The ragged angle stirs in his healing slumber. Lost in a sea of dreams far a way from the acing, Of his fractured heart which slowly heals, he Allows his tender lips to form a joyous smile. Ripples appear on the sheets as he flows further, Drifting away into oblivious tranquility. He turns and creates tidal waves that washes over him, nearly waking him up but doesn’t quite do it. Instead he sinks back into the ocean deep doze, With the smile freshly repainted upon his face. His damaged, polluted angel wings are drenched In the sweet fragments of his lingering dreams As he wakes, but it is not enough to clean them. All the hopeful, glad thoughts that sailed on his mind Crashes upon the reeves of reality as he rises to face A new day in the dust dry realm known as life. |
