Oh yeah, this is dedicated to What's In A Name? cause she wrote a LOVELY poem dedicated to me, so I had to repay the favor since she is an incredible poet and an inspiration to all. <3
Our Genocide Is A National Suicide
Diminished cries escape her lacerated throat;
For the is the figure of zealous nature,
the ideal angel who had fallen upon the road less taken;
The side paths ravens dare not stray;
The street corners where the lampposts have churned to dust;
Faded away, for the fluorescent lights had dimmed long before;
Away from the scents of the luminous night;
The dawn of the evening, the glorious lights…
Ceased to shine before the eyes of children,
the children of the new era, the new millennia,
the victims of our vicious warfare,
to be impaled by the guns of our wrecking revolutions…
The turnings of the clock, ticking away,
our demise draws close…
And the songs we sing are drenched in fear,
backstabbing hatred of all we bear.
But the things we claim to hone are the lonely conspiracies;
The ones we embraced with withered fingers;
Pale, ghostly, aghast by our own conclusions;
Our final words,
our signatures erased by our own trickling blood.
The signs of contempt, the velvet disdain;
The lives we sought in the eternal rain;
The pouring ashes fall from dead end skies,
the last of lives, the last of eyes…
The last light flickered, in and out…
The last radio groaned its final note;
Consisting of such melancholy, such despair;
A final warning to the reality it never knew;
It never wanted to be familiar with us at all…
Technology bares its grimace, its snarl of metallic fangs;
For even it turns away, defaced by our nationalies,
our sorrowful claims…
of all we had wished, we concealed ourselves in fame…
Suffered for it, desired it, drowned in our refrain.
The last dying unities will perish in our disgrace. |
