just paint a picture on my face and everything will be fine
i cant let you see me breaking down in tears
i wont let you be the one to watch me as i runaway from my fears
i lay my head down
and the tears begin to flow
this is the side of me that i never let show
these painful scars that i hide
and the truth that lies behind these eyes
all the memories iv tried to forget
and all these endless regrets
i bite my tounge
and hold back
the things i dream to say
cause there the words that you dred to hear
the tears still roll down my face
and none of you understand
the pain im holding back
so i smile and tell you everythings just fine
but the truth is im slowly dieing inside
im lost without him
and alone around you
this smile i paint upon face
is just a pittyful attempt
to cover up my mistakes
iv lived for so long hideing in the dark
afraid of what you`d think
and how you`d wonder why i didnt get help
its all in the past and there just painful memories
i cant stand these fakes that try to be me
depression isnt a game that we play
these tears i cry are real
and that frown of yours is fake
i dont know what you feel
but iv seen that smile
theres no reason to pretend your someone else
iv seen your smile and ive seen your tears
but im not sure which is real
all iv ever tried to be
was a better person
but im just a mistake
im better off not breathing |
