whoa King For A Couple Of Days

Is broken by it’s own babbling
The dips and pops and it’s twists and turns
Bring comfort in my heart
Slowly rain starts to fall
Filling the river up some more
A storm is coming, this I am sure
As the water gets higher now
The river churns more angrily
It’s sounds are louder here
Brilliant colors sparkle on suspended raindrops
And slowly start fading away
The air is getting warmer now
As a turtle submerses itself in
The river has become playful again
For anyone willing to come
A creature pauses across the way
To cure it’s burning thirst
After it scampers away
Leaving me at the river’s mouth
The twilight is beginning
I must return home soon
I dwell on the calmness it has give me
Yet the river is never alone.
I got some inspiration from the Clash song Something About England. So that's why it's that title, and why some of the lines are similar. I did this as a class assignment. |
