NO. Poems that look like every other word was looked up in a thesaurs suck on ice. It just ends up showing the authors lack of vocabulary and makes it so unpoetic. Half the time people just say, oh thats so pretty, because none of it made sense and it was stupid. Thats whats happening to alot of poetry on GSB, it is false and made over, simple words can be ten times as elegant and vivd as ones that are 50 letters long. That is what is happening to GSB poetry. Dictionary.com is getting over used and it just results in everything sounding exactly the same. |
