soul and take their swords to her angel magic.
It is always the sensitive, panic stricken
sweethearts that become ensnared in the sinews
of forgotten legend; that begin to faint under
the pressure and expectation. An Appafly
princess in an oppressive world. Her precious
wings already bear deepened scars and sickly
surgical stitches to prevent her liquid oxygen
fading away. Her tears turn to blood without
warm touch and affection; bleeding from her
weeping cuts and fresh anguish. Let her collapse
against the bed sheets, her baby heart cries
under sleep deprivation and harsh congestion.
She needs the softest kisses and fluid touch
to breathe a little happiness into her weakened
lungs. Such a life is far too claustrophobic
for such an introverted soul. Fabric fingertips
against her flickering wings and aching spine
bring her out in rare smiles. Smiles to craft
a universe; smiles to illuminate the quiet stars.
Blue blooded royalty and archaic traditions
become incoherent when injected with hybrid
love, and teenage innocence. Sometimes, poison
hate and magical chaos can all be calmed with a
tender embrace - dragons and demons fade under
such rituals. It's such a misconception that
duelling magic can be soothed with anarchy and war. |
