Inari King For A Couple Of Days Age: 37 Gender: Female Posts: 2538	June 1st, 2006 at 12:17pm Plummeting spirals of complexity, twines of metaphors. There was no real beauty in cobwebbed poetry when all it'd reveal was the dregs and dust of hubris. The mind is sewn on the sleeve of an artist but the gown frays and fades with expectation. Conventional restraint, shackled echoes from experimental minds, protean art condemned. A caged bird can never sing lullabies with clipped wings. I'm dabbling in witchcraft literacy to conjure poetry without words. Picture book similes from the subjugated poet. A new best seller. People will buy into left-over imagery, the rinds of a masterpiece, the rings that remain from a sharpened ego. But rarely renascent art. Dictionaries burnt at stakes of discontent and the air is purged with ash. Because intelligence is only expectation bound in a graduation gown and the world has become too impatient to adopt a thinking attitude. Repercussions reverberate on pure forms of expression until they're no more than cemented scrawls of nerves on tar paper, shallow echoes on copper surfaces, third-rate forms of rendition. The compensation prize for the predilection we've now absorbed like a fashion statement that's gone too stale to fit.
