What's in a name? King For A Couple Of Days Age: 36 Gender: Female Posts: 2451	June 10th, 2006 at 05:48am Eternal Memories Wrapped in Melodies Nonsensical events roam her mind at lonely nights, Reminding her of times she did not lose but spent In order to grab and hold on to them eternally. Rain stained kisses beneath umbrellas, Sun splashed ocean in summer dusk light, And to drive without a destination Just to watch time pass by the windshield. That is a few of her favourite treasures. Moonlight serenades of heavy metal hearts Rhythmically beating in her joy filled chest Would become moments that she collected To save among her dearest memories. And so all the seasons melted away along with her youth. The years kept adding up to nothing more than history, Which lost itself in the tales of a young girl’s life. A life that is running out of daylight, Running out of heartbeats. Withered carving on forgotten stone Will eventually be the only trace Of her existents. That and all those notes, Woven into rhythms Which sprung from the melody in her soul. Her life scatters in the wind When her candle burns out But her collections of memories Is not slipping into oblivion. Because through music We can live forever. Right. First of all; sorry I haven’t posted in a while. Secondly; I’m goin’ away for a week again (from June 11 to 18 ). No computer access >.< I’m gonna miss you guys! Btw, the last two lines in the poem are from Rancid’s song Indestructible.
