Opened my eyes to a pale blue blur
Dried grass growing above my head
The clouds are barely lines across the sky
Like scratches, a mistake in a masterpiece.
The minutes seem to last for days
And the hours like eternity
Forever passing through the streams of time
Leaving a mere trickle to trifle with.
I sit and wonder what was happening
And why did it all happen
Crosslegged, I twiddle with some lifeless weeds
Twisting them into a temporary piece of simplistic beauty
That would steadily rot into nothing
Like many before me, and many after
The haziness of dusk falls and envelops me
And leads me to finally ask the question
That I should never ask.
