Well, for children it is the families consent that matters. I do know that Children's organs are extremely hard to get for that reason. My Cousin died because she couldnt get a heart transplant, I don't remember all the details, I was only like 3, and It's a really touchy subject, but I do know that is the reason pretty much everyone in my family donates their organs. If you can think about how hard it would be for you to lost a child, think about being able to prevent someone else from having to go through the same thing. No one is going to be using the organs anymore and all they're going to do is rot in a coffin.

i am for organ donation...i just wouldn't be comfortable with it for the first couple of days i guess....if it saves someone else's life,it's definitely worth the pain and the discomfort

I think it would, in the long run, help with pain and discomfort. Despitw your loss, you would know that someone else gets to live.

that's true...and there will be a part of your child still living on in that person
i`m all for it too. saving peoples lives, that`s not bad. and the organs will rot anyway, so don`t waste them. i don`t know how many people belive in heaven, but it`s you soul that matters.

I'm all for it. I'm underage, so I can't donate blood yet, but I plan to when I am able to, and I also plan to donate my organs.

I'd donate my childs organs.
Not that I think i'll have any but if I did I would.
If I could prevent some other child from dying, why not make the most out of one childs death and further another's life?
The way I put it, it means something of that child is 'living on' in a way, they're leaving a legacy behind in helping another child to live.
you dont need your organs after you die, and they can save other people's lives, so its a good thing, and you dont even ahve to be dead to give blood, and so many lives are saved when you donate it
I think it is a great thing to do. I am registered as an organ donor, but this doesn't mean that when i die my organs can immediately be used if they are needed, your next of kin has to allow it which unfortunately means many people who have registered as an organ donor, don't actually donate their organs after they have passed away because the next of kin refuses.
I look at it this way, once your gone you don't need them so why not save someone elses life and let them have it, i know i would like to have the opportunity to live longer because someone else has donated their organs.

Everyone has so far said the same thing ''I think donating organs are good, I'm gonna do it, etcetc....''
I agree with the part that donating your organs when you're dead is a good thing if it can save someone elses life but it's not for me. Even though lying in a grave with healthy organs would seem like wasting them but this thing just isn't for me. I don't wanna be cut open when I'm dead. I don't want someone else walking around with a part of me in his body. It.. kind of disgusts me. If you think donating organs is the way for you, go on then, it's just my opinion.
If your organs are going to go to waste, i say that those in life threatening situations shouldn't have to stay that way when there are plenty of organs available.
i want to donate.

Call me selfish, but I was born with all my organs and I want to die with all my organs.
Besides which, they are making vast advancements in the manufacture of artificial organs as well.

I guess it kinda relates to whether or not you believe in life after death as well. It'll be a little bit difficult to live in heaven with a kidney missing. Actually, a kidney, I don't mind. I have another one of them.

I'm an organ donor. I would like to help someone at some point in my life and it's a sorta guarenteed thing, y'know? And also, I would give blood if I didn't freak out at the needle part. Last time they took a sample I sorta had a fit thing.
