Donnie Darko is a 2001 cult film, the first by writer and director Richard Kelly. Set in 1988, the movie is a psychological thriller/science fiction film about a boy named Donnie Darko who, after narrowly escaping death, has visions of an eerie, bipedal, giant rabbit named Frank who predicts when the world will end. It stars Jake Gyllenhaal as Donnie, Jena Malone, Mary McDonnell, Drew Barrymore, Patrick Swayze, Noah Wyle and Maggie Gyllenhaal. Donnie, Gretchen and the demonic Rabbit.

I'm the only one in the family that understands the concept. (It takes a LONG time to understand. I watched it like, 3 times before finding out.) That movie is sooo good, and I really good breakout moment for Jake. I love saying quotes all the time. XD Go grandma deaf!

I love the concept, and I love watching it over to see the subtle things that you miss. They put so much foreshadowing crap in there that you would never notice until you look really hard for it.
