An underestimated breathtaking sense of reality hits us.
The brick wall of achievement we never thought we’d reach is now within our grasp.
The end is getting closer and within time we’ll go our separate ways.
Some to success, some desperately trying to make it in this superficial and flawed world.
And yet, without a doubt, others will fail. Stumbling and falling before taking the first step towards individuality.
When things are thought over, you realise that several hurdles are still left to be jumped over, before you become the one person you never realised you could be.
We’ve come so far, but there is still much further to go.
Sacrifices have been made to get where we are now, yet how high is the level of appreciation?
Flashback after flashback, we recall the moments of personal achievement, or the times the red ribbon of hatred has tied us in a constricting shredded bow.
Even the ways in which people held us down from being who we really wanted to be.
Then a sudden snap back to reality. We rise above the teasing, and the put downs we have experienced or given out.
We have the urge to reach for something much, much greater.
Looking into the eyes of the ones applauding us along the journey, we stretch that bit more, to reach for the rope of self-actualisation. Something so small, means so much to so many.
Everyday, the end gets closer to reaching, yet further away to achieving.
If we push that bit harder, the things we strain to achieve, will be achieved with much more dedication.
The true naivety of some people, easily shines through if you look hard enough.
Strangers who you thought strongest, are the ones who fall weakest in line.
It’s all a matter of time.
Don’t be scared to spread your wings and fly.
