On One-X, the follow up to Three Days Grace's 2003 self-titled debut, the band explores that sentiment with alarming honesty. A raw, confessional album, One-X finds frontman Adam Gontier delving into a sense of utter loneliness that ironically comes from being constantly surrounded by other people. One-X is simultaneously the story of Gontier's personal destruction on the road, and a universal tale of feeling like an outsider.
"Animal I Have Become," the first single off One-X, is Adam's "realization that a change has to happen and you have to ask for help." With stomping bass lines backing him up, Gontier pleads, "Somebody get me through this nightmare / I can't control myself." It's also startlingly open, as he realizes the impact of revealing his lyrics: "So what if you can see / the darkest side of me."
Thanks to you, Three Days Grace sold over 78,000 copies of One-X in its first week out, enterting the charts at #5! If you don't have the album yet, go get it - and if you do, tell a friend about it. To commemorate a huge first week! |

8. When you start a thread about a band, post at least 1 link to their MySpace or website (official or not), a little pic and/or a description about the band. No more post like "Ever heard of [insert a band here]? I love them and their song [insert a song here] !" or it will be locked.

Sorry ladies [and gentlemen] but Adam Gontier confirmed in Chart Attack magazine that he married his girlfriend Naomi in May 2005 at a friend's cabin. Three Days Grace is a Canadian Alternative Rock band formed in Norwood, Ontario in 1997. The band consists of members Adam Gontier (vocals and guitar), Brad Walst (bass), Neil Sanderson (drums), and Barry Stock (guitar). They originally formed as a quintet in 1992 under the name Groundswell; they changed their name to Three Days Grace and became a trio in 1997. The group moved from Norwood to Toronto and met producer Gavin Brown, formerly of the band Big Sugar.
Brown helped produce their self-titled debut album, Three Days Grace, which was released in 2003; it reached the top ten of the Canadian albums chart, the top 100 of the U.S. Billboard 200 albums chart, and number-one on Billboard's Top Heatseekers chart. Upon completion of the album the band recruited Stock. The album's hit lead single, "I Hate Everything About You", reached number-one in Canada and the top ten in the U.S. The second single "Just Like You", gave the group a second number-one in Canada. A third single, "Home", was also released. A fourth single, "Wake Up", was only released in Canada.
Brown won a Juno Award in 2004 (see Juno Awards of 2004) for his production on the album and his work on Try Honesty by the band Billy Talent. Three Days Grace was also nominated for best New Group Of The Year but lost to Billy Talent.
On March 31, 2006, the band released their first single off of their album One-X entitled "Animal I Have Become." One-X was released on June 13, 2006, and landed at # 5 on the U.S. Billboard 200. The band is scheduled to tour with Staind now that it has been released.
i know it is alot to read, but it is valued information on them
