I think there is no rivalry. Here's a bit of an article. Total Guitar: When Offspring spoke to TG, Noodles was very flattering towards you. Would you return the compliment? Billie: Oh yeah, I think Offspring are pretty cool. I think both of our bands coming out at the same time created a bigger impact for the kind of music we're playing. Even though we represent two separate worlds, the fact that we were both in the broad 'punk band' bracket coming out at the same time meant that people had something to relate to as far as 'a scene', which was very important. Noodles is a great guitar player. His right hand is really fast. There might be more articles about this, but I really don't remember right now. Thanks
