In the cold light of morning,
Bodies strewn on the floor,
Muttered words of mourning
For those who aren't anymore.
Shadows moving to a discordant melody,
The rotting stench made me sober.
The morning wears the face of tragedy.
Don't make me watch! Drown the sun and call me when it's over.
What doesn't kill us makes us stronger.
Bits and pieces of rotting flesh tangled in the light...
I'm not strong! I'm insane! This nightmare is getting longer,
Lost in the field of the Dead, dreading the pending Night.
The feathery sound of the raven's wings
And something whispers in the dark.
An empty swing begins to swing-
This nightmre will leave a tragic mark.
Somewhere close to me - silenced screams.
Cold sweat dampens my skin,
Can one die in their dreams?!
I see what was once unseen.
What if these are no dreams?
That thought sounds so deadly true.
What if the Night will soon be hearing my screams?
What if my body becomes torn in two?
Wake me up! Make me open my eyes!
Don't make me gothrough that door
To meet my fears without their disguise.
Wait! It's all gone...
I laugh - but smile no more. |
