Choking on words as they grazed past his lips
Drunked whispers and time to reminisce
I watched his eyes light up in a smile
I watched his lips, grim all the while
Sugarcoated tales turned bitter at sea
Matched with a voice as sweet as can be
There is no salvation amongst deafening waves
Yet there is fasination dug up with your grave
Set aside to be hung at half mast
Beautiful waste-away is a thing of the past |
