the yelling, the screams,
we awaken from fruitless dreams to nightmarish reality,
is this useless?
are we worthless?

the fighting, verbal beatings,
wrap a tourniquet to stop my heart from bleeding,

is this relationship pointless?
we choke back tears,
the answer is obvious,
no one dares to speak,
can't handle the truth, so we deny,
ignorant bliss
