| Inari King For A Couple Of Days  Age: 37 Gender: Female Posts: 2538 | Once again, I could fit the title into the subject box.  This one's called: It's A Choice Between Jumping Into Your Arms Or Falling Fifty Thousand Feet. Neon lights coiled around like a maze of our persistent mistakes, flickering and indecisive like us between the goodbyes and dial tones. There are wind touches like blood rushes swarming around my ears and I'm beginning to suffer from instant vertigo hanging around like this. When you said you needed me I never thought it would be this way. I'm perched on my tiptoes on the edge of your bedroom windowsill with the city stretched out before me like a canvas ready to catch these tears and I can sense you behind me, hear your whispers over the hails of wind. "What are you waiting for, honey? Suburbia is waiting for you so jump." And I don't know if you're breaking your anorexic promises tonight just so you can get hungry for power or if you're just thirsting to rid this extra baggage that weighs down our relationship packed in the shape of me. I'll leave your methods untested because these lips were always meant to be made as platforms for building stolen kisses and not questions. It was always fact that I wanted to do anything to make you happy because you look so out of style when you're squeezing into frowns, darling, and playing the love-bound ventriliquist's dummy was so much fun until you started lighting funeral pyres beneath my feet in an attempt to make me dance. This is tragedy on a leash; catastrophically obediant despite the torment. Keep trying to prove you're better, sweetheart, these bruises don't hurt anymore. They're just subtle scars beneath the skin and I've taken to drowning my misery in tears because I gave up liquor for Lent and forgot to take it back up again. |
