  | September 3rd, 2006 at 12:05am I'm experimenting here. This was also part of a story, but I changed it very much to apply a rythm. I know, it's short.
I'm trying to compare the disappearance of a memory with the death of youth...understand?
Autumn, All A Memory
Autumn,
The dying season when everything is fondled with brown
And the broken leaves furl into their last gasping breath,
When the neoteric greens of last spring dwindle into death,
Unable to rekindle this tragic part of town.
Footprints in the sand are the roses that bloom in the the virginal spring,
Yet never seem to wither away with the seasons we twist and fling
To fit our whimsical moods. They leave impressions in our minds,
Dreamscapes that are the thing capable to take us back in time.
Like branches in a storm, any memory can be easily swayed.
The late Autumn, its canvas splashed with a manifestation of melancholy,
Is perhaps the only time that can make a memory lose luster or ware away,
Like the copper shaded leaves that fall at the height of a seasons day. |
