| The Real Jigsaw Idiot  Age: - Gender: - Posts: 566 |  EDIT: i love this band, great songs: all you ever do, transmission and teenage moron. anyone else here like them?  Violent Delight formed officially in 2001, with the line up of Rodney, Tom, Ben and Ken. After playing a series of smaller shows, VD were picked up by J Albert & Son publishing company, and recorded a three track demo. This was played to record labels, which led to interest from Sony and Warner Brothers, and rather amusingly, the Ministry of Sound record label. Warner Brothers gave VD the opportunity to see the 'Kiss Kiss' video by Holly Valance before the strip lights were added in to the video, giving VD all the reason they needed to sign with Warner Brothers. Sony didn't show Shakira naked to them, so the decision was easy. The deal was signed in 2002, with the band touring with 'A', Rival Schools, Raging Speedhorn and Ill Nino in that year, with Same Old Story and Secret Smile being released by WEA London. |
