Hey! Does anyone learn classical music or ethnic music? I started classical guitar recently, but right now I'm just learning where the frets are and stuff. I'm also learning Carnatic music, which is classical South Indian music. I've played veena for about a year and a half. The veena is one of India's oldest instruments and it's a string instrument. It's really cool. It looks like this:

I also learn Carnatic vocal. Which is interesting. There's a lot of theory involved such as 'taalam', which is the system we use for both a metronome and a time signature. For example, Chatursajathi Eka Taalam is one measure per line and four beats per measure. It's also complicated and very interesting. It also applies to Carnatic instruments.

So, I was wondering if anyone else here learns any kind of ethnic classical music, like in Asia or French music or Hindustani classical or something. So we can swap info or something. It'd be cool.
