Posts: 30440 | October 15th, 2006 at 01:06pm A/N: I suck at this poetry stuff, but tonight I just had thoughts running through my mind. I don't think I've ever written a poem seriously before, please take this into consideration when commenting :]
It's all based on truth. Not my life, obviously. I think it's pretty obvious what it's about.
A pretty face, she'll bear it yet another time,
A ragged man, he knows it is a disturbed crime.
Please stop the pleading, and now stop the crying,
Movement begins with her blissful thoughts of dying.
Another sun sets on yet another horizon; this evening we're done.
Was 14 too young?
Or was 15 too old?
Were his hands too rough?
Or were his hands too cold?
When the innocent are broken, we will all be undone.
Salvage comes in a small silver pouch,
Filled to the brim with powdered release.
A fuzzy mind, her mother cries,
A knock to her senses; police have arrived.
She won't be here tomorrow.
The ragged man, now with nothing to say.
Stormy weather, a funeral, a coffin, and now a wake.
He will not be challenged, he will not be ousted,
His daughter's eyes lay open, widened and frosted.
He knows his time is borrowed.
