Sitting here on this bench
Watching cars go by
Till the story ends
I wish I could
Tell you the truth
This is the cold
Emptiness of youth
Watch as we wave
Our fists in the air
Listening to our own
Thoughts and despair
If you only knew
What goes through our heads
When you spray your lies
To the minds of the dead
And it’s hopeless to think
We’ve got a chance
When all of our futures
Are inside your hands
So let’s get off our seats
And take them by force
Let’s go to the streets
And scream till we’re hoarse
The fire burns so
Hot in our veins
Leaving traces
To those who pull the reins
Who do we have
To turn to when we’re lost
Lonely nights that
Seem too much of a cost
