The charts are constantly full of utter shite. Very rarely is there a decent song in the top 3... I don't pay attention to the charts any more anyway. The singles buying public are utter morons, and 'cause hardly any one bothers to actually buy singles any more, you only have to sell like 30,000 at the most to get to number one.
The album charts are pretty screwy at times as well.
This thread shouldn't exist...there's no punk in the charts firstly. Secondly, threads like this only start arguments as to what punk is and if it's dead or not.
