Casino Royale was the first Ian Fleyming James Bond novel that was written and finally after many years the film makers have the rights to the film.

With new Bond Daniel Craig the film is scheduled for release on November 16th 2006.
Daniel Craig thread

I can not WAIT for this film to come out. I've always been a fan for Bond, and I won't deny it, I can't wait to see Craig as Bond, I think he's done a really good job and all the people that have slated him are gonna get a slap in the face when they see this.
However each to their own.

I'd just like to know if anyone is as excited about seeing this as I am?

well i can see why it appeals to people but i find the Bond films boring just the same thing but differant film, and what i can never ever understand is why oh why when they have Bond tied up to a saw or somthing, why dont they just shoot him before he gets away.

lmfao
Daniel is so hot though.
And I don't like how people said he was too buff for the film and all that, it's stupid. This is supposed to be James Bond when he was really young so, he has to look good and as quoted by Daniel:

'I wanted Bond to look like he could kill someone'

I know. He's really handsome but he's way tougher and younger looking than all the others. Loads of people are moaning about the fact that he's blond, which is ridiculous.

How stupid. So what? Bond wasn't allowed to have blond hair when he was younger?

Plus the fight scenes look amazing, Daniel does most of his own stunts

Aaah I've been waiting SO long for this film - not just since Die Another Day. I've been waiting for this film since I first saw Goldeneye. Finally it looks like we have a decent Bond film for the first time since Pierce Brosnan's first.

I really can't wait to see it - just looks amazing. Less gadgets + more action = YAY

Thank goodness they got rid of the stupid invisible car thing ¬_¬

Haha, I actually thought the invisible car was quite cool, but yeah, a bit un-realistic.

An i agree with you on the less gadgets more action...I'm looking forward to seeing a raw James Drool

Okay well, I went to see Casino Royale last night, and....

how can i say this...

It was FUCKING IMMENSE. By far. hands down, the best James Bond film ever made. Very different though, you have to think like there hasn't been any other James Bond film before you watch this. But it was amazing, Daniel Craig did a spectacular job, he was better than i expected him to be and i expected him to be pretty fucking good.

Casino Royale is dark, and if your into all the gadjets and stuff, well i must stress to you that this has much more action and violence and not much gadjets. Also I'm starting to quite like the soundtrack too... 'You Know My Name' by 'David Arnold'.

I still can't get over how good it was

I second that completely. It was mind-blowing, and really the best Bond film yet. Craig was really great- and really charming. The whole movie was well done. There wasn't too much violence or too much talking or too much sex or anything. It was perfectly paced and the end really made the whole movie.

It's by Chris Cornell - frontman of Audioslave, ex-frontman of Soundgarden plus established solo artist.

*Gasp!* Shaaaame.

I am a HUGE Bond fan. Been watching Bond films since I was born.

I think the new movie is a good change. Daniel Craig really isn't that ugly. Eva Green was spectacular and looked stunning in the purple dress.

THE END CREDITS!!!

Every Bond fan knows to stay to the very end of the credits, AND THEY HAD IT!!! They didn't show the title though, but I already know IT'S GOING TO BE BOND 22!!!

YAAAAAY!!! With Danny again.

I was a first a bit unsure, but I got used to the idea. And, I mean, it's ridiculous some people won't even go see it because he's blond and blue eyed. So stupid.

I don't think it was the best Bond film ever, but it was amazing.

Daniel Craig did a fantastic job. He's a brill actor. This time, Bond has feelings instead of being a heartless, super spy, killer and womaniser. It's touching, especially the shower scene. The stunts in the movie are very excellent, grat job and they keep you right on the edge of your seat. The torture scene was so intense though. I'm a girl and even I cringed. Very shocking and provocative...I like it. Wink

Le Chiffre goes down in my books as one of my favourite Bond villans. I definately want to teach myself how to: A) Flip poker chips and B) Make my eye bleed.
~~
SO COOL!!!

The poker game was a very smart thrill to the movie. It was definately more intense even as your average Bond car chase or gun battle. I thought it was a nice edgy, sophisticated touch to the new Bond character quickly emulating out of this new era of Bond that Daniel Craig and the producers were trying to create. I loved how it wasn't a continuation and it was as if it was the first movie.

This was definately much better than the last one which was a big blow. Completely inplausable. Melting Iceland with the sun? I mean, Iceland isn't even made out of ice, Greenland is!

So, it's much better how this plot is actually possible, yet still is an imaginary fiction for guys and girls to characterise themselves in...well, I do. Embarassed

I loved the reference to Moneypenny.

'Got the money?'
'Every penny of it.'

The new gun barrel entrance however...I'm not ready for a change in that. They can make the blood more real later, but for now, I like the old, cheesy, ketchup blood running down.
