I disagree. Some parents might not want their children (young, like before double digit ages) to hear those kinds of words. Which I think is good because too many young kids talk nasty.

Of course now a days, it's hard to find sensible parents who will actually pay attention to the labels.

Parental Advisory stickers can end up Cd's for alot more than just language. Any parent that will blindly abide by someone elses views of acceptable is a brain washed zombie. If you don't want your children listening to that, it's fine, but don't ban something because someone else deemed it obscene, thats foolish.

So what else other than language can a sticker be put on a Cd for?

Things deemed obscene by other people, such as the content of the album, any concepts some people may not find suitable. If you have anything relating to drugs, chances are you'll have a sticker, sex too. If you think it's only about language, you're wrong. Marilyn Manson singles that have not a single curse word on them have those stickers? Why, well A because the RIAA thrives on biased views and marilyn Manson is viewed horribly by the media, and B because he is political and sings about religion, and of course because he isnt a brainwashed conformist he gets a sticker. it isnt about "obscene" things, its about things that challange acceptable. Those are now viewed as obscene and its ridiculous.

I can see why they put stickers on stuff about drugs and sex. But I do see your point about challenging things. I don't think you should have a "parental advisery sticker" on it, that's stupid.

I don't give a shit I think all the parental advisory things are gay, I mean they just put that shit up because famous people were complaining tha it was "coruppting America's youth" and all that other bullshit and I just think that somehow it makes kids smarter...It sure as hell helped me more than that Briteny Spears crap on plastic and sell it for $20 junk.

No cd's need parental advisory, unless the kid is an immature fuck that can't walk the earth without being told what to do by his/her parents. People need to decide for themselves if they're going to be able to handle a few bad words here and there and not go and cry to mommy.

I disagree with you. Sometimes kids need a little guidence from their parents, not nessicarily "cry" to their parents. Usually the immature fuckers out there are the ones that think they're all "big and bad" because they listen to or say cuss words when they're just a bunch freaks. Just wait, every little twerp out there who thinks they "know it all" now, are going to be completely lost in life.

[QUOTE="Mechanical_Chicki agree with you some parents dont want there kids listening to that kind of music. such as strict christians but still someone said that brittany spears was clean pop but shes not because she sings about sex and stuff so she could use a parental advisory too. i dont like her but my friend has her cd and its almost as bad as green day. but theyre there for a reason, and thats for people who really respect them. if they want the cd bad enough theyll get it but i dont blame them if they dont like the lyrics.

Thanks Very Happy I'm glad someone agrees with me. My parents don't usually like me listening to "obscene" stuff, but they do let me buy Green Day albums because they like their music too. And my parents aren't brainwashed either. They take my to all sorts of concerts like Green Day and Korn. So they kind of bend the "rules" for some music.

I never said parents who monitor what their kids do are brainwashed, but any parent who looks a sticker and assumes it's bad music is a brainwashed zombie. Before they make assumtions like that, they need to hear things for themselves instead of blindly following what someone judged.

I think that they would have put them on insomniac and nimrod back then but people were more leanient (sp?) on music back then. For example some moveis that were rated PG back then would be R or PG-13. Kind of like Green Day's American Idiot CD has less than half the album use hardcore swearing and they put a sticker on it when insomniac, dookie, and nimrod are much worse i mean on insomniac the only songs that dont cuss are "Westbound Sign" Tight Wad Hill" and the honorable mentions "Armatage Shanks" and "Brat" for not going too far with it. And listen to songs like "Platypus" "Take Back" "Nice Guys Finish Last" "The Grouch" and a couple others on nimrod. They cuss, but have no PA. Mainly because they were saved by a couple of songs. Oh and for the record for all you people that think "Good Riddance" is such a goody song listen to the very beginning when Billie keeps hitting the wrong note. He slips and says "F**K" Listen closely
