I think they're great. . .except for Billie's hair. He looks really old now. He should cut it. Okay, I'm done. |

Age: 34 Gender: Female Posts: 95 | November 18th, 2006 at 03:06pm I'm so happy that they're doing this, too. People really underestimate what's going on with the environment nowadays. My friends always make fun of me and call me a tree-hugging hippie because I'm so concerned about the environment, but I'm proud now that my favorite band is taking a stand about it. |

I don't care to hear their opinions (why I didn't click the link). They're good at music- that doesn't mean their ideas about politics are good or valid. You think just cause Billie says it it's true? Think again, they use propaganda just as much as Bush. |

I think most people would rather actually know what is being said and then decide whether to believe or not. knowledge should always be preferable to ignorance. |

They have the power to make a difference, so why don't they?

Age: - Gender: - Posts: 43 | November 19th, 2006 at 09:17pm I love what they're doing. It's great to see them doing something with their fame. Green Day is definitely on a roll. First the collaboration with U2 and now this, it's awesome. I saw the video on Youtube a week ago, I already visited the site and signed the petitions and sent an e-mail. It's for a great cause, I urge everyone to check it out. |

Just because they happen to produce music and be rockstars does not lessen the value of their opinions. They actually have great political views and all of them are valid. If you had bothered to click the link, you would have noticed that. Don't make any assumptions before you look at it.
They may propaganda, but isn't that what an opinion is? Propaganda is one-sided, biased information, that's what an opinion is. It's different for them to be biased, because they are expressing their political views. Bush, however, in his seat of power shouldn't be propaganding at all. He's the president, it isn't political views at that point, it's the way the country is run. He shouldn't be trying to sell his ideas, he should letting America decide for themselves, no bias should be coming from the government.
Many people on here are going to rush to agree with them on here just because Green Day said it, but isn't that the same thing as the blind patriotism Bush has from most of his supporters. It's fair, I think. As long as the message is spread. |

Not that all the polluting hasn't effected the world already but it will for certain get MUCH worse, so pay attention and do whatever you can!!! |
