I came up with this last night:

Just read this with an open mind, and note that I do have some valid points.
Gerard and Kat were in love, right? 6 years together, Gerard said himself it was like a marriage. He wants to be alone, breaks up with her. Again, he said himself it's hard to not have someone waiting for you and missing you like a girlfriend does, right? What if...what if while he was in Japan/Australia, he realised how much he missed her, got back to the US and went straight back to her. They have a long history together, he realised he couldn't be without her, and proposed on the spot.
Don't scoff just yet, stay with me now, I'm about to get in-depth.
We've known for a very long time Eliza's an attention seeker, always stirring and insinuating that her and him are together, right? Maybe they did have a fling after he broke up with Kat (explains them two being seen together a few times in August), but that was it. Let's face it, she's had a crush on him for years - even before they met he was her favourite singer - and then they became friends and she tried to weasel her way in.
No, seriously - We know she's got a screw loose anyway, right? (I'm convinced "Gerard's" myspace from '04 was 100% fake, and she was either deluded and thought it really was him, or she made it herself. Either option proves that girl's not right in the brain. Like my MCR pun? I'm hilarious.) So after they started their fling, she started posting a lot more bulletins, right, especially those cryptic, "Is she your girlfriend or your hairdresser...both" kind of shit. She thought he would stay with her. He had enough of the fling, ended it. She stayed obsessed. When he got back to US and proposed to Kat, she decided to post that pic of her with her own engagement ring. She knew eventually G's engagement would become public, and she left clues to make it look like it was to her. And now she knows she won't be able to post messages and stuff when everyone knows he's back with his ex - so she gets rid of her Buzznet and private's her Myspace.
Are we still all on the same page here? Good. If this theory was correct, it would actually explain why he said he was single, and why Miss. E was so adament that no MCR fan had ever been lied to. If this is right, then when Gerard said he was single he wasn't lying (since it was after the fling with E-Cuts), and when Mikey said G was single he wasn't lying either (since they were still in Australia, and Gerard hadn't gone back to Kat yet).
And now we have a cult movement of "Tean GerKat" -ers on INO. |
