Don't ask, don't tell. This is for Serena.

Serendipity, peppered with little clichés of
romance and other Romeo and Juliet sort of
stories. Such a slapdash seasoning for a
tangible feeling. It betrays the feeling itself.

A diamond in the band of pernicious gold
melts to a puddle, softening the skin of my
calluses. It has no form yet, no possession
of my obsession, I have not bought it yet.
For her, I am a willing hypocrite. A wedding

march takes hold of a train track. So bright and
austere the images of stations flitting by like
butterflies. The tracks ahead like a heavy web
of mercury lines and wooden beams. Scars, like
tattered banners - once forgotten - resurface and
blush with pride.

Bass guitars stand like smiling patient parents. It
is more capable of guiding the true path than a
compass ever could. A parade of a brigade seems to
reign ever cheerful, like hot summer rain that smacks
the ground with a steamy kiss.

Soft, velveteen seats. Grit in my fingernails and dust
in my eyelashes. I haven't drowned myself yet.

You in blue, I in green. My hair is a startled fawn,
receding, shedding snowflakes. A burning question
squirms uncomfortably in my stomach. Will you?

I await, still, your reply.

Once I started reading it, I found myself mouthing the words to myself, because I wanted to absorb every last word. This is one of my favourite poems. Ever. And I've said that maybe once before. Every single piece of imagery is simply divine. I'll pick a few of my favourite lines, but we'll be here a while...

'Serendipity, peppered with little clichés of

Purely amazing.

'Parade of a brigade seems to
reign ever cheerful'.

I adore the internal rhyme.

'My hair is a startled fawn,
receding, shedding snowflakes'.

Poetic overload! Cheese

I'm still debating over whether you should've last few words of the second stanza into the third, but I think it works. Very Happy

I hope I managed to convey how passionately I feel about this. Embarassed

Um...gorgeous vocabulary, kthx?

I love the way you describe things the way you do; it's like you have a really distinct style. You also always manage to do it in ways that I haven't seen before. I mean like...original metaphorness. xD

...I'm not good at talking today, sorry. But I loved it. OMGyes
