The perennially jovial Noel Gallagher has accused Green Day of ripping off Oasis' biggest hit, "Wonderwall." He says "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" is "exactly the same arrangement." He continues by saying "They should have the decency to wait until I am dead (before releasing this). I, at least, pay the people I steal from that courtesy." He also says of Green Day "They consider themselves to be - and I quote - 'a kick-ass rock 'n' roll band'. They could not be less kick-ass if they tried."
lol..sum1 put this up on thier journal a few days back...admittedly there R a few similarities between the two songs...check out the chord progession....but bobd has the same notes being played in a completly different style...there a lot of hammer-ons..this will make no sense to u unless u play the guitar so i shall shut up now on the note that both men are legends..but technically noel's been around longer...
I heard that mix of bobd and wonderwall too, and yeah, they're similar, but it's not like they're the same song. Noel should just shut up, he's just trying to start a fight. As usual. If they do fight, I would like to see someone kick him in the balls. As you can see, i really like him. *in a sarcastic tone* I really do NOT like oasis or their music...so there. *sticks tongue out, then runs away*
How many of you actually know anything about music?
Em G Dsus2 Asus2
dsus2 is xx0230 and asus 2 is 002200
that is the verse part to bobd.
now play that as if you were strumming wonderwall.
same.
http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/o/oasis/wonderwall_crd.htm - here is a chordsheet for wonderwal. And before anybody says THEY ARE NOT THE SAME CHORDS, they are the same chords moved two keys up, the effect the capo on the second fret has.
