Runaway Bride

I have suffered celestial visions of your form ever
since you drenched my cancerous soul in your starlight.
Your words; they bleach my yellowing heart the ivory
hue it sorely longs for, but doesn't deserve - I was a

runaway bride, of sorts, tarnished with rotting affections.
I am a fleshy embryo; my eyes viscous pools of amniotic
fluid. Oh, how I wish to soar with liberty! To inhale
the snowstorms and hurricanes of your literary elements

would be such bliss to my infected blood! The scars you
see upon my surfaces; they spiral internally and cling
to the plexus that is my heart. They are woven to my
organs like a metaphorical placenta, feeding on my

health and passion. I know my child to be beautiful and
fair, but she tires my body so - won't you help me
birth her into this cold, unforgiving world? Delicate
kisses could induce my labour, and bring comfort to my

aching bones. I am porcelain white and sick with frailty -
just as my past lovers have left me. I only hope that you
carry enough medicine to replenish the colour into my
mascara stained cheeks. I am a blueprint, to be redesigned.

Admittedly, I didn't notice the similarities until after I'd finished it and read it. I was mainly influenced by Charlotte Bronte's writing style; I'm reading Jane Eyre at the moment. But I reckon Joan unconsciously influencing me... we all influence each other, to a degree.
