Green Day and U2 are my two favorite bands, it's nice to see your two favorites collaborating and playing together.
This article perfectly describes the history of the song they covered and the way the lyrics took on a whole new meaning when Green Day and U2 performed it in New Orleans. They did it in order to see that aid made it to Hurricane Katrina's victims along it's path of destruction, when help was so far out of sight.
Kudos to the guys for lending a hand and setting an example. |
