Electric Pussycat:
They're banned?

YES!!!
I'm glad. Whenever I see a kid rolling around on those things I really have the urge to trip them up or just smack them in the face.

lmfao I have that same feeling

I think they should have the same rules applied like bikes and stuff really i mean most places wouldnt allow you to ride a bike or even micro scooter through so why heeleys? though banning then with the heels off is amazingly ridiculous as without heels there just shoes... but psh Hand I still think heeleys are silly compared to the shoes with fold out skate wheelsyears ago. now THEY were cool. Cool
lol
though I do think now I shall stick to my micro scooter. as lees people have them now there considered lees of a problem often.

afireinsidemyhead:
as for the safety issue maybe they could make a special place in the mall for Heelys and allow kids to use Heely's in gym class....with proper safety gear
Yeah.
Let's just build a new part to a mall for a fashion trend.

And what about those children that don't / can't pay 50+ $ for shoes like that?

I paid about $10 for good quility healys Coffee

My friends younger brother had an accident on those.

He was just riding them on the rode, and he tripped over a stone.

He went FLYING four feet. And knocked out a few of his teeth. He also scratched up one whole side of his face, and broke his arm.

As for using them INSIDE. It's just stupid. Not only is it dangerous and annoying, but you can't even run in them properlly with the wheels in.

ANOTHER incident.
Some girl I know who has those shoes took her wheels out. While she was walking, she forgot that she didn't have them in and tried to RIDE them. She end up falling over, because she was stupid and forgot that you can't ride the shoes without the wheel.

And anyways, it's annoying having little idiots riding them in the mall, and then having them cut infront of you and circle around you. They also just look stupid.
I want to punch heally wearing people in the back of the head.

No shoes like that in Croatia Fizz
Yes but people who travel out of the country and see them and they're like "OH THESE SHOES ARE SO COOL WHY DON'T WE HAVE THEM?!!" buy them and then crash into people etc. Fizz

I said that just cause I know someone who did that Coolio
Hopefully,Heelys won't become a trend here any time soon.

If you ask me, America has got enough problems w/out people worrying about stupid heelys. We all know the reason why they're banned is because George W. Bush is too stupid to learn how to use them! I wouldn't be surprised if that was the reason! lol He's an idiot!

I'm glad they're banned!
My Dad works at a shopping centre and has personally banned them from being used, they have caused alot of accidents in the centre [as well as being really annoying]

It reminds me of those sticky bouncy balls with goo in them that they banned.

I used to work in a grocery store, and kids would be riding around on those running into things, knocking them over and the parents would be oblivious. It was ridiculous. There was one kid who was "riding" around and wasn't looking where he was going and hit a bag of kitty litter that was on a pallet low on the floor, tripped over it, came out of his shoes and landed on the pallet. We all thought it was funny, and the parents came yelling at the store manager to move the kitty litter. Its certainly not our fault but the store manager had to take the blame to appease the parents.

im glad their banned.

FOld out skate shoes forever Five

Yeah, but honesty they are silly stupid contraptions that shouldn't be sold because they are such a hazard to people. Kids should just stop acting like babies suck it up and accept that they can longer use them, they are a danger to them and everyone around them. They probably arn't even that good at the whole heely thing, and all humans make mistakes, ergo you are a um, 'gliding' hazard to everyone.

I tried out a friends pair once. I fell on my butt Laughing.

They are very dangerous. Some people have broken their ankle because they tripped over something on their heelys.

I'm jealous, I never got a pair Mad

YourWorstEnemy:
In case you don't know Hellys are sneakers that have a wheel in the heel of the shoe. In many schools and malls they are banned for safety reasons. I think this is wrong. I think that they should be allowed but people should have to wear helmets with them and in schools you should at least be able to wear them withput the wheels. My social studies teacher sent a kid to the principal because he was wearing Heelys (without the wheels). They shouldn't be totally banned. Malls and schools are the best places to use them because of the smooth floors. I mean if people are going to abuse the privlidge of them by hurting others or whatever then that person should be punished by being kicked out of the mall or being sent to the principal. I have Heelys but I don't know how to use them so I just wear them without the wheels. I get in trouble at school for this. What do you think about this matter?

well im glad they're a banned cause its seriously a pain in the but when your pushing a cart in Target or something and some kid comes speeding around the corner on heelys and you have to stop short almost running them over -_-.

so allowing them in schools and supernarkets is pretty ridiculous because they are usually crowded and not all schools are indoors. where i live almost all the schools are outdoors.
