Time is not a word
You once looked up in a chunky book
For your English homework,
As a symbol in a text you read.
It's a stubborn enigma,
A pursuit of questions and fate
Subject for art - bouquets
Wonder of the world, the eight.
Reminds me of what is gone
And all yet undone,
But the seconds choke
One by one, before I realize.
Minutes have flown, I must now go,
Time left me gazing: so much to know.
