My lotions and potions must have proved too exciting
for your childlike heart. I've tasted the soft, patchouli
after image on your flesh, and I'm missing sachets
of liquid clay. I've never felt your skin so smooth.
But I have confessions to make, too. At weekends
I spray your cologne against my wrists and inhale
the musky scent, ephemeral. I like the way your
jeans slouch against my hips, clinging to my waist.
The very last motion I made was to place a toothbrush
beside your own, allowed to touch teasingly when
thrown back with a c-c-clatter. I just hope that blue,
clinical mouthwash will always keep your kisses fresh. |
