I made this topic so I could get some help on how to keep interested in my stories. See most of the writers on here are great and write long stories! But me I can barely write more than 2 chapters without losing interest in it. I have so many great ideas that they conflict and I never start or I'll quit
So I just wanted to get help. If this topic is in the wrong place or needs to be locked I understand, but maybe others feel the same.

I know exactly what you mean. Sometimes I just just get bored with the story because in order to get to the "heavy" stuff or the "good" conflicts I have to build characters, storys, subplots etc. That's what daunts me tbh, and I find myself shuffling my feet and quitting my story.
I guess it's all about writing down ideas and brainstorming, so you keep interested in your own story.
Also, a strong lead character and a plot outline you can't wait to write helps. The more interesting the story is the more interested you become

I would really love to finish writing one story, the idea about writing down ideas would be really good =D Sometimes I just get the feeling that I want to write and write and I guess writing down ideas would be good. Thanks.

It can be hard to continue a story because you get an idea for later on in it and then you're like 'okay, how do i get to THERE' Just write some kind of filler bit or time skip, thats what i do.
